My 8th trip to Italy was perhaps the best
ever. This lovely view greeted me from my corner room in the Trastevere.
Please visit my album
to see many other beautiful vistas we encountered.
They are certainly correct that practice
makes perfect. I've learned that I need a balcony, garden or both
in the places I stay. In addition to the joys of internet planning,
I have also accumulated numerous wonderful guide books over these
13 years. If you are visiting Rome, I highly recommend Carol Coviello-Malzone's
Flavor's of Rome. She provided
not only excellent suggestions for dining, she gives very helpful
background on customs. I loved learning what I should do with
my bread (forget the bread plate which is not provided) and that
I should not expect to find olive oil or butter served with my
bread.
