While you see many more images of Sayulita on this site, Zihuatanejo is really my favorite spot. I discovered it in 1985 and went many times over the next 10 years. I took a break (visiting Sayulita for 2 years) and returned in February 2001. It was better than ever. Hotel Irma, overlooking the harbor at Playa Madera is my favorite place to stay. Playa La Ropa is where I would spend all day, until I returned to the Irma for my 3 p.m. siesta.
